Boats on Used Victoria and Other Areas

Spoke with the seller. It capsized. Will be a lot of money to refit. Even the steering had been removed.

I got an email reply as well. Seems like an honest straightforward type. Answered all my questions. He’s confident the hull is solid without corrosion or electrolysis. Needs bottom paint apparently. As mentioned it needs new everything including wiring, steering etc. I was wondering about the fuel tanks? How would one go about inspecting and dealing with that? I hope someone here takes it on I’d love to follow the rebuild.l[/QUOTE]

Did he say how it sank? Plug out or a crack? How long was it under water?

Nobody has a comment about this one I may be interested but would like some input.
Great looking with a good bang for the buck. I like glass boats but that one would be on my short list to check out.

no but I didn’t ask as I didn’t originally know it was under. he did use the term “capsized”

I think 10-15k for the silverstreak with everything it's going to need is a bit more realistic.
I bought this at the scrap yard yesterday. Paid $2.00 per lb for a total of $28.00. So $3.00/lb for the boat. I wouldn't be worried about running this boat if everything was to be re-done, but to be honest, I find the cabins on these boats hard on the eyes. Apologies to those who own them.
