1 spring at bell. 14 lb. 2 unders. Moved to hump. 2 hatch coho. One pink. Lost a few. Diddo on the sharks.
Nice. What were you running? Tried for a while at the bell this afternoon all I got was dogfish (at 80 on chovies if you are in to dogfish ). Landed a 1lb flatfish at the pink apartments too, so not really our day. Fun on the water with my boys though so can’t complain!

Chovies and white hootchies. Lots of sharks yes. Even hitting spoon and hootchie.

I find trolling faster helps with the sharks

Just back in now from 29 1 had it all to ourselves. Had a screamer to start and then the run ended whiskers came by and snatched him away. Theres a pair hanging around the byng sign. Worked that fir ages had a juvenile spring and a small coho that went back. SE started to kick up so we trolled towards Robert's creek then all hell broke loose right off the jetty 60 cm wild coho then a big spring but the damn line snapped, definitely time to respool. Getting bumpier then bam bam both sides go and a sweet 76 cm thick spring came home. Most of the action was after 6 pm tight to shore. Bit of a wet ride home but man what a day. If someone bonks that spring with my new pink jughead hoochie and a green glow flasher enjoy that hoochie works for sure Make sure to change the hook it bent on the first strike. Cheers

I saw 2 legs on a commander an hour ago heres hoping that's a good sign
We'll see how it goes. The clutch assembly ?, gear box?, transmission?, Or whatever it's called is at the shop. Hoping to hear back early next week on a prognosis. Props looked fine.

I was instructed to go out and catch crab to take to a dinner tonight. Response ... do I have to? Dropped the crab traps between the Mile Markers and let them do their work and trolled anchovies with Kone Zones and no flashers between the Mile Markers to just inside the Bell Buoy. After 6 dogs, I was finally able to hook a very, very fat 15lb peahead spring at the Second Mile Marker. Fish went a little nuts and jumped a number of times in the waves that were building with the westerly wind (there was a bit of os bounce further out the harbour) ... something pretty special about catching a spunky fish with no flasher.

Anyways, a good haul of crabs for dinner and a brilliant red spring that is going on the bbq for lunch makes for a fabulous Saturday morning.
