WTB $300 000 Boat for $100 000. Serious offers only please.

Time for me to eat my humble pie here.. I’m stoked for you dude. And for that alone I will bring the new Pursuit across from Nanaimo for the Chicken.. you should host it out on the water so everyone can raft up. ;)
Haha yeah not sure if deep fryers and boats work well together. Would be awesome to have a place where guys could have boat access for sure though. I'd love to kick some tires.

Hey RC.
Here is who I had my Commander survey done by.

Sea trial Friday but yah that would be a good idea - subject to fishability.
I do plan on having it craned out for the survey.
RC If you are going to haul out for survey then subject to everything being ok and the deal finalized I would plan to do any underwater maintenance or hull maintenance before you put back in. Its $300 each time to pull it out plus $30 to $40 a day to sit.
Replace zincs, check bellows and drives, Have props serviced, buff and wax your hullsides, Bottom paint or touch up. Bottom paint your legs (special paint for that). Then she is already for next summers fun.
An yes check your through hulls. Should only be 2 of them. Surveyor will tell you if they need replacing or re-caulking.
Lions Gate Marina has covered dry storage for $60 a day which allows you to bottom paint or wax regardless of the weather. Plus Pleasurecraft Marine is right there for any Volvo service.
Good luck with the Sea Trial. Looking forward to your review of driving from the Command bridge with the wind in your face!

This is great advice. Lions Gate is the perfect spot for it and Pleasurecraft has been getting good Volvo service comments on this board for a while now.

I think we're pulling out on the river somewhere. Maybe Skyline? Morley is coordinating everything. I don't take possession until Jan 7th and will take it over to Burrard Civic at that time. I'm assuming that I'll be pulling it twice a year like I've been doing with Bayliner. False Creek is rough on hulls through the summer. Either that or have a diver do some cleaning regularly. I really would like to find a mechanic that can get me on a regular maintenance schedule so I doubt I can line that up before Tuesday's sea trial.

Good to know. I've used Lions Gate for a pull out and wash a couple times now but never had any real work done. I'll check out Pleasurecraft for sure.

If properly bottom painted you should only have to haul once a year for power wash, zincs and bottom touch up. Bottom paint should last 2 years. Micron CSC. You can changed leg oils annually or every 2 years. I do mine annually.
Maintenance on those Volvo 41's is easy. You can buy all filters online cheap. I do my own oil changes with a manual oil extractor I got from Princess Auto.
I think I even have a few spare parts, filters and Zincs for the 41's I can give you.
Would be happy to give you some advice once you take ownership. Plus once you get setup on the Commander page you can ask questions of the group.

This is the best :)

When my boat was out for survey the surveyor noted the zincs needed replacing and the drives needed anti fouling paint. We worked it into the deal so that the owner did that before re-floating. I did not have possession yet.
That got me a year without having to haul again.

This is great advice, I have done similar in the past.
Vessel needed zincs, so the seller bought them and put them on.
Deal was, if we bought it we would pay back.
Worked like a charm.

Congrats on the new addition. You'll love it especially with the little one(s) on board. It's not only old farts in the commander game anymore!! I might be interested in that full command bridge enclosure. Only have the bimini right now but here up north the full one would be perfect. I'll shoot you a PM. Congrats again
