Biggest from my row boat

Not my biggest at all but biggest caught while rowing. #13 off Aldrige point on a anchovie in a bloody nose teaser behind a purple haze flasher. Aiming for one over twenty this year. From iphone 5 048.jpgFrom iphone 5 050.jpg

A full fish in the freezer is great for a BBQ where your guests don't have the privilege of seeing a whole chinook or other....I did the same with a few Tuna....brought the whole ones home vac sealed so the friends and family could see it before they eat it. They all thought it was pretty damn cool. And they enjoyed seeing how the fish was filleted and prepared.

Thats a beauty 13# though, gotta say!

FB you are exactly right. I was transporting to comox for a family BBQ two weeks later. Threw it in the freezer and was able to put it in the truck with the family and not worry about smell or drip complaints. Everyone at the get together liked seeing the whole fish. The next night's crab dinner was courtesy of the head and tail. My current largest spring is #24 but this one's memory out weights that one.

Thanks sharphooks, it was truly one of the prettiest fish I've ever seen! And to think I gave up the rod to my boy when I saw the hit!!! Lol was worth it to watch him play it thou!!

Still haven't caught any real monsters but this slug was not bad for an ECVI fish. The smaller Chinook was 23 lbs, it was 40.
