Commander 26 Re Build

So besides me, Seth, Marley, Dan , Aces and everyone that’s under the age of 30,
Everyone is for the flybridge!!?!?!?

Tough decision, I really like the way it looks with the bridge but absolutely drool over it without the top.

I’m trying to make this decision with the help of common sense but common sense has disappeared somewhere during this build

I say put a crane, radar, tender, train horn, prawn gear, and don't forget the rainbow flag!

It's not a yacht its a fish boat
Crane and tender are where I'm heading with mine.

"Up there" is the last place I want to be on a hot day. Tired before you even get there.

Storage is very valuable.

I'm going with ditch the ladder, it won't fit now anyway. Even though it's not hard to extend it. Get rid of it. Aluminum helm console. Skirt brow the top. Send it

Pretty sure there's a yacht forum somewhere lol.

Here's my opinion on that. It's going to cost let's say 10g to get steering, controls and whatever else you are planning for a helm station. So just ask yourself how much will you use it? The way it is you could use it for storage however not sure there will be room up there for a tender. Think about how you want to control the boat outside of the main helm station, including while your fishing. I think that's the most important thing. Keep it simple

Think twins and kicker and how you want to operate it and from where.

No skin in the game, and the guy writing the cheques calls the shots. In my opinion, part of the issue with the cutting off the flybridge makes the boat look like its got a flat-top haircut. Check out photos of Lifetimer's Discovery series boats and look at the roofline, with the extended 'brim' over the windshield, and the raised/angled perimeter piece. Helps 'finish' the look of the cabin, and also provides a few inches to conceal equipment up on the roof.

Might not work on your due since the windshield angle is reveresed - but just a thought. Photoshop it in and see what you think.
