What Did You Do To Your Boat This Week?

Got my baby all serviced up and ready for the first splash of the season tomorrow. Gave er a good bath to get the shop dust off her and out in the sunlight. First sunlight it’s had in 9 months. Batteries all topped up all oils changed, little things tidied up.

Problem is what way to go tomorrow. Take the kingfisher for a relaxing day of big walleye and lake trout trolling and a bbq out on the water with momma or take the Lund and go for a day of hard core walleye hunting. Decisions, decisions.

WELL ITS ABOUT TIME LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good work Jarrod you will never look back now and you be saying why didnt it do this earlier!!!

Changed out the 2 water separating fuel filters, new trailer tongue jack, ordered 2 new axles for my Shorlandr trailer...about $1200 a piece out of Ontario. Also ordered a new 912 Powerwinch online out of the states...about $600 US. My trailer is a 2004 and way cheaper to update than buy new. Already have new bakes from cab controller to back wheels, new rubber too
....so worth investing some money into it.

What did I do ?? Well I walked around the old girl and gave her transom a quick wipe. Then I admired the black round things she is sitting on. I reached carefully under her dashboard and carefully stroked her wires while lying on my back in the submissive posture. I then pulled back and carefully removed her cover. I felt a tingle on my fingers when I explored her now exposed inner workings. Maybe I was being a bit too fast ? But I was able to gently wipe off some leftover bodily fluids from previous wild rides we had together.. Then my wife called and told me if I wanted dinner, I had better stop playing with my boat, wash my hands and get in the kitchen . Women !!! They just dont understand !

Finished my intellisteer for my kicker, everything takes forever. Lol. I had to glass a base piece of plywood to the floor as I am trying not to put any screws in my floor. So far success! A bit slower than my panther steering but hoping it lasts more than 2 years
