WTB something slightly lighter than a commander 30 and with outboards.

Yeah, super nice when I walked through it but 9'2" beam feels the same as my 8'6", pretty sure the commander is much bigger? Also, it just feels like a 2359 Trophy inside. I prefer the shorter cuddy and the longer cabin with the stand-up head by the door but it gives up deck space. Definitely be nice to have the optional canvas for days like today, not sure if you can store the bench seats for salmon season?

Since it isn't made in North America I believe there is duty, be nice if someone could build and sell something like this for around 200k here in North America. Priced at just over 200k in the UK with a single 300. https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/2020-parker-920-explorer-max-7416540/

I did try and find out if the larger glass ply molds were available but a guy is planning to build them the PNW.

I actually like the head forward with a lot of the newer boats. You really can't beat the commander layout in that short of a boat. Buuut the newer 36' boats have nice island berths as well as a second double berth below deck. Most with a separate shower from the head as well. But they're way out of my price point unfortunately.

Separate shower is truly high living, great if the space is there. Wiping down the enclosure got tiring. We often used the transom shower when overnighting, had the dinghy on davits to tuck behind if in a crowded anchorage.

I do the same but I time it for dinner time when everyone is on their boats watching me. No curtain required.

Dinner and a show

Wait for it....
I was checking this bad boy out, but .5 footitus isn't my style. Did they ever make any big ones like Double Eagle did? https://vancouver.craigslist.org/nvn/boa/d/vancouver-26-hourston-glascraft/7377125025.html

Did you run up and see it in person? They never made hulls any larger at least that I've seen. Those 34' DEs are something to behold. I wonder if they sold that one in Pender harbor, it was sweet af.

BTW the way there's one of these that ties up on eagle island in WW across from the gas dock. It looks really nice.

there is a nice one 34 DE for sale with a 190hp diesel inboard but I don’t think it will give me a 20mph cruise which is my minimum.

didn’t look at that hourston or any big DE’s but the way people are slamming Seasports maybe I should! I was discounting the smaller ones due to transom/stringers but who knows if someone has Sniedered it already…

Considering the other options it’s not a bad price.. a little big maybe
I am not a aluminum guy lol, because I can’t afford one, but that eagle craft at the boat show was by far the best built boat on that floor, both the hull and finish was insane

Reminds me of the ol "Courtenay House" days,
banging beer bottles on tables while shoutin "shower, shower, shower"... lol

Just pod that thing already! Lol
But then what would spur on all this great conversation we're having?!

The No.5 downtown had the showers until about 5 years ago. Damn shame to see them go. I still scream that at hockey games ;)
