Fishing Is HOT in nootka right now . Like everyone said camel was the spot to be . Skinny G was the hot ticket this weekend. Go get them!!!

4 springs at the log dump in an hour this morning on the flood - biggest 27#. All on bait from 25-43 feet.Fishing in Esperanza continues to be hot. Chinook are now moving into the inlet in big numbers. Rosa, Garden, even some reports of Saltery bay with fish already. Small anchovies seem to be working best. View attachment 68952
Monday morning - hoiss. Wow. 5 boats in the area. Caught (and released) 14 springs.Been in Nootka since Thursday evening.
Thursday night - One small 10lb spring at the wall.
Friday - One 20lb spring at a Hoiss in early am. Ran offshore and got limits on lings and cod fairly quick. Was flat calm out at explosive and red can.
Saturday - morning. Two Chrome 20lb springs and multiple shakers at Hoiss.
Night - One dark 22lb spring (wow they are sure dark for this time of year.
Sunday - morning. Two Springs 18 and 20lb at Hoiss. Ran to San Carlos and caught a dirty super dark 22lb Spring. Let it go. Never seen them this dark this early.
Ran to monument and got a 20lb Spring. Chrome as could be!!
Keep hearing that camel has been good as well. We fished camel as well on Friday but it’s a sh@@ show with wayyy too many sausages out there crossing paths etc.

there's 2 dozen gillnetters posted up there waiting for the opening.I think we are going to do one last run out to Nootka any reports on the fog. Was thick on the long weekend and coho showing? Mainly a bottom fish trip
