Just wondering whats your favorite tunes while fishing ??? Also wondering does music on your boat effect fishing ??? I get alot of people asking me to turn up the tunes I play classic rock and a pinch of kick butt country and some boats like to stay close. So far I don't really see any difference if musics on or off loud or quite. I have it set up on the boat so not to disturb the other boats much but it cranks on board. I was a DJ for years and love music and would like to put a cd together with the all time best fishing tunes so whats your favorite???

Cheers ME

Happy Hookin!!!

Nothing better than a few cool wobbly pops and some nice clean tight sounds on the water...

Some of my best fish of the year were caught with the tunes cranked...

We put in a couple of amps, a sub and some nice speakers... it just hammers btw, no distortion.

I built a nice little sub box with the sub aimed at the floor about 3 inches off the floor in a 18.5 Double Eagle deep V cuddy cab...the only thing you can see is a slot running across the bottom of the box where the sound comes out onto the bridge. Designed it in such a way it goes right where the porta potty would go, built it out of 3/4 baltic birch ply and fiberglassed the box inside & out to protect against the elements. It's totally removable if need be, and completely out of the way, if fact if it wasn't pointed out you wouldn't even know it's there.

Also built a really cool amp rack to go inside the cuddy just inside the door on the vertical wall, ran 4 guage power wire with proper fusing and power distribution strips & blocks & fuse blocks, etc. It worked all year w/o any problems and we took it out for the winter as all of it was designed to be removed for the wet season/storage.

I would say some days if it was a bass happy song we wouldn't get a bite but other days it didn't seem to matter...so we would shut of the system if we weren't catching, and if we were all the better...keep it cranked.

We listen to all kinds of stuff, usually we would invite our guest to bring their favorite tunes... hard rock, classic (CCR works well :)), techno, trance/ambient is awesome for later in the day on calm days for sunsets.

Overall it made this past summer's fishing even better...and I can't wait for next year.

Oh BTW if you put in some amps just make sure your boat has a nice dry cuddy and a charging system on the kicker...don't want dead batts ;)

Remember, "When the Fish aren't Biting...the Fish aren't Biting!!"

YOu've got to love the good ol country tunes when your fishing! I love a little bit of Kenny Chesney, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, CCR, Chicago for when the wifes on the boat and the fish aren't biting and a nice sunset!!! I also am a big 80's fan! Got to have some GNR, Poison, ACDC, Bon Jovi, and Def Lepard. As well I always carry a couple Cd's of the latest greatest top 40 for those who don't like my taste as much! My stereo has a port for my i pod to hook into directly so I bring 10,000 songs with me now every where I go. man it;s hard to imagine life before MP3's and i pods! Anyways that's my two cents!!

SW Cowboy! Bye the way we'll have to do some fishing when I move back to the valley this December!

I do the Fishing, God does the Catching!

Oh yeah I almost forgot a great all time tune is "Small town saturday night" by Hal Ketchum! And I forgot to mention Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar Mellencamp!

Hi all.
Most of the time i listen to radio, but it seems like Pantera and Mötörhead are the fave bands for the Scandinavian salmon lol

Nope, seriously i think that loud music should disturdb the fish and ruin tha catch, but of course i might be wrogn.
I think the boat will be one large loudspeaker, maybe it also attracts the fish( when not playing Swedish harmonica).

Well fish on all and everyone.

mama and I have landed plenty of fish together while having the tunes cranked. Nothing beats trolling along in the chuck while having the music blasting. In my experience, the music has no bearing on the fishing.

Tunes rarely interfere with a fisherman who doesn't know how to fish.

Remember, it's called "fishing," not "catching."
