Looking for Radar

Hey Guys,

Figured I would post on here as I have never had Radar before and am looking at adding it to my 21ft HHT Thunderjet.

Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? only really spend a month on the island fishing so dont want to waste any days being fogged out!

If possible go with a broadband, digital radar (e.g. Lowrance 3g or 4g). They perform very well and don't put out all the dangerous microwave radiation like traditional radar's do.

Great if you can get a model that can overlay on your chartplotter. Makes navigation much easier and safer. I have a Lowrance 3g and it works great.
