Floor is cut out, the fiberglass on the center of the transom was delaminated from the wood so I cut it off and layed in 4 layers of glass. The fuel tank was heavily pitted on the bottom, it's getting sand blasted tomorrow and if need be will be getting re skinned

Got the fuel tank back. So many holes in it, it looks like swiss cheese looking at getting a new one built or buy a new moeller tank

25 gallons. The boat will just be used for inshore fishing so it should be big enough. All the extra space where the old tank was will get a hatch and just be more storage

140 screws and 6 tubed of 3m 5200 later... gas tank installed and the floor laid, the floor is doubled every where the seats will be installed. If everything goes right it should be getting glassed next weekend

Very nice, glad to see your project is going well. I'm sure it will be a great fishing boat when your done. Awesome hull design you've chosen for your project. The water balast hull makes for a super stabil fishing platform. Too bad that idea has been adopted by so few manufacturers. Good luck with your project.

Wonder how it would work on aluminum? Have you seen it used anywhere? I used to just do the silica sand in my gel coat on the decks of my commercial boat which was a reasonable working surface to gillnet from but your fiberglass and finishing skills are much nicer than mine.

Replaced a section up closer to the bow where a storage hatch is that was rotten and where the original stern cleat was tore out I used a 1/2" piece of plywood for backing and glassed it up.
