Ace hauler on a 17.5 double eagle

I'm looking at buying a line puller for the upcoming prawn season. I'm not sure if the gunnel on my boat will be able to handle the leverage from a puller? The gunnel flexes a fair bit already with the downrigger and a 12lb ball. It would be mounted on a 17.5 double eagle. Any one have this setup?

Thanks

Not to worry I had the same problem.... I cut 2 inch strips of 2X6 and slide them in under the offer hang of the gunnel...Flex Gone

What year is your hull? I have a 1998 ad use my puller all the time with no flex. Works great.

I have a 1994 DE 17.5 and have had no problem with the ace hauler. Hooks up nicely to the Scotty mounts.
