Are you using your VHF radio correctly?

You reminded of the few times somebody's mike stuck on, pastafarian. Talk about entertaining. and ultimately a bit tiring as the minutes stretch into hours.
Totally! When people are on the radio for far too long it's tiring. I would say that most folks operate their radios quite well while broadcasting on 16. Other channels less radio etiquette is followed. As long as those channels are ship to ship channels and not used for professional Mariners, folks shouldn't get too bent out of shape. Have a laugh or change the channel. Remember why we are all out on our boats; because it's fun.!

I still can't figure out why an online course is good enough to run hundreds of horsepower at 50 mph in public, yet radios, that requires your physical attendance.

I have two so I can listen to people being told to get off 16 at the same time as 68.
