weeds catching rigger stops

weed gets hung on " double- taped braid rigger stops" and slides down braid, rigger won't shut off.
any solutions?

I superglue mine in place and put two together.

Make sure you are using the red stops for braid .
I never had any issues with mine and I also put 2 inline together

was talking to buddy today after guiding re: super glue. will give it a try, thanks. i wrap the tape in a taper from the top of the stops to remove the shoulder on the braid stop. all parts have to be dry and clean before taping
