Salt ice

Agreed Sharphooks...remember where you are and how these folks make a living...not too mention they are available 24/7 while we are on vacation....just saying!
 
Hijack: What erks me is buying corner store ice, blocks and cubes, that are sitting at about minus 4C when you buy them. Should be a law stating the ice must be at a certain temp. I make my own blocks when I can so that they are at -20. Last far longer. Salt ice generally rocks! End Hijack

Anyone know if there is anywhere in Surrey to get Salt ice?

I might just start making my own as well, how much salt does one add to get the best result?
 
I am with sharphooks...long trips up Caamano way require 2 x 150 qt coolers and commercial half tote.
Bella Bella fish has great salt ice.

Anybody know if Packer in Zeballos is operating this summer and making ICE ?
