Call PowrTran and speak with Jeff - he has always been helpful. I had the Python on my previous boat and the Tailfin on my current boat.

Turn your power off at your battery switch. Turn the power switch back on, while pressing the either the left or right remote button.

Thanks guys! I did end up calling Jeff and he said to pull the positive wire from battery and touch post while pressing left or right on remote to give it a jolt of power....Basically like your method Bruce
