Outboard Tilt Stiffness - Honda BF25

Hey all.

A little while back I had to replace the tilt arm shaft on my outboard (and a few other small parts) due to trailering incident. Since then I've found that it takes quite a bit more effort to tilt (manual tilt) the motor up. I don't plan on calling the shop as I was not very impressed with what they charged me for the parts.

I was wondering weather the shop maybe tightened up the hex bolt (part 13 in attached figure) or the tilting shaft nut (part 14 in attached figure) and this is what resulted in the difficulty in tilting the motor.



Can I loosen of the nuts or hex bolt or do they have to remain as tight as they are.

There are two hex nuts (part 14) one on each end of part 12. I would back off one hex nut a bit and see if that helps.

Is there a grease fitting also.
