Nootka Sound - Spring and Summer 2012

We'll it's been a week since the last report so were going to give it a go and see if we can get into any coho's. Will report when I get back. Cheers Jim.

To add to the Nootka reports, I was there for four days last week staying at Moucha Bay. It is the first trip in five years, and I take four trips a year to Nootka, that I did not boat a single salmon. Had a nice coho to the boat a couple of miles offshore, but the person with the rod got a little excited and ripped the hook out of its mouth. It was weird, as there were no fish pooling by the river waiting to go up, and there were still tons of mackeral everywhere.

We heard that the fish were still a bit north waiting for the rains to come. Oh well, still a great place to be. Can't wait for next year.

Well Frank, check this out: https://www.facebook.com/moutchabayresort.............seems to be a few out there on the beginning of this week. Fished out of Moutcha Bay for a few years now and will have to admit this year was the slowest by far but we did ok..........Sept (should) be good for coho
