Long line at Wilby Shoal??

Any one know what was up with the FN long line dumped right up edge of Wilby past green can yesterday? I Had to change TAC to avoid floats but at that time was not sure what they where. The big boat came and hauled it later in the day. I was too far away at time to see what it all was but was later told by another that was close that it was an "FN Long line". Wondering if it was a legitimate set, and if so why the heck there and why on a weekend and what was target.?

I had a look when it was heading back in and looked like halibut gear.
There have been a few hali caught between the green can and Mitlenatch.
Guess that is all old news now.

Fished just east of Masset where there was a FN Halibut "longline" in 40 ft of water - sounds like this is a new thing with the FN's in BC. When I commercial fished Halibut, our shallow sets were at 1200 ft. At shallower depths I expect Rockfish by catch to be significant.
