Just read a notice Victoria fishing reports that the ramp at James Bay Anglers is closed August 1st 6th 10th and 12th

Thanks Roberth for letting everyone know about these dates. It's unfortunate that this is happening during the first & second week of the spring opening. JBAA is the only ramp located in the City of Victoria and has had its history with providing a community with access to the water.

To answer your question, there is a barge contracted to off-load pre-fab homes to Victoria.

The new homes are a solution to the homeless situation. That's what I was told.

The ramp is 60 ft wide and the barge is wider. So no boat launching while it off loads the modules. The barge gets there at approximately at halfway during the flood and leaves before the high slack.
