Hge risers

Anyone know what the piece is that faces towards the front of the engine and has a rubber cap on it to block it off? It threads into the riser and has a barbed opposite end. The rubber caps are cracked and need replacing.

I’m not certain what you are talking about but it sounds like you have a pipe thread (npt) to hose barb fitting that has a rubber cap hose clamped over it?
I would remove the fitting and install a pipe thread plug (npt)
