WCVI far out on the banks. There are no halibut on the ECVI lol.

Oh yeah we pull our prawn traps at the 700 ft line coming back in from tuna fishing...........
 
12.32567 nautical miles on a bearing of 285.3276 degrees from Solander island in water that is 263.49 feet deep, 3 hours and 23 minutes into a 8.6 foot ebb tide. Must use Shimano TLD 20 with 80 lb. test powerline, with 2 day old pink salmon bellies that have come from a 5.4 lb. female, and has fermented in 22 celcius temperatures for 22 hours.

DO NOT VARY from these instructions at all! you will not find halibut anywhere else on the E/WCVI:cool:
 
I like fishing the the racket club.. Its a great spot if tigerprawn doesnt beat ya to it...

I have cought several Halibut in late July and Early August incidently trolling for Springs in thee Wyat Trough.
 
Ive spent a lot of time, money and gas finding my hali spots. I don't mind sharing them with my friends but will never post them on a public forum. Get a chart, look for rocks and gravel. Its trial and error but rewarding when you figure it out.
