Yesterday the first batch of smolts arrived and are in pen another big batch is coming today about noon, check out how it is all done on FB post and see what is going on and a good way to get involved, THIS is going to be everyones future so come on down and support this cause, we will still need help with feeding etc if you fish in sooke and victoria we could use your help...please get involved ...hope to see you down there....

Last year Glen set up the feeding schedule so that each person picked a day of the week and either the morning or evening feeding. It takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete a feeding properly. If you have an hour a week to help out...get in touch with Glen. Each batch of Chinook will be held 2-3 weeks then released.

Are they released all at once? Any preference to day/night?

Night time as less preditaton and not all at once....
Come out and help and then you can see first hand how we are doing it....and bring your kids and get them involved, we need to get the word out and plan for the future you know who in ottawa is more concerned about his hair LOL.....
Both pens are now full as of 12 pm today and they are doing great...
