ive never really got the concept of it, doesnt police training tell them to treat every situation as potentially hostile?, therefore should an officer not expect a gun at all times?....holmes*

Bullseye Holmes! The majority of firearms used in crimes are not registered anyway, therefor the registry is incapable of warning the officers responding. Unless they are responding to a domestic call (some of the time) or to a B&E of a home, it's not worth the pinch of powder it would take to blow it to hell.

I'll be voting next, and just a reminder to everyone that it was Kim Campbell and the PC's that brought us this little gem in reaction to the Mark Lapine massacre at EPT in Quebec. As far as I'm concerned they created it, it's up to them to get rid of it.
