Camcorders?

I'm going to redeem some Rewards point in the form of a camcorder. My options are:

Any advice....the reviews are very limited. What am I looking for. Anyone have suggestions on what to look for?

the last one on the list has 40x optical zoom, the sonys are 25x - that's a big difference. Optical zoom is mechanical, meaning it doesn't distort your nice HD images when you zoome, digital zoom will turn HD into garbage. If all things equal I'd go with the biggest optical zoom, but I don't know anything about those cameras.

well i would say the format is important. if you have to convert it to say use windows movie maker it drops it in the crap zone. get a i phone
my editing disk/software is so hard to use it takes me hours to do the littlest thing
