not worth the $$$ upgrade from the people ive talked to ,
ive used them on others boats this past year , wasnt impressed at all....
there are much better units out there now ,
that coming from a lowrance guy , its all ive ever ran in my day...

but yes , a great price for sure ,

Just curious what would be a comparable $500 unit? I couldnt find anything in that price range for a gps/sounder combo when I was looking. When you start jumping up to the 700-800 range sure. This is a great starter unit. I can only find one or two bad reviews out of many good ones. Worth looking into if your in the market for lower price range unit.

Id probably go for the hds7 elite because it comes with the gold card which I think you would need with this unit any. Harbour Chandler=better deal.
