between vic and nanaimo

so i have to run to naniamo tomorrow, dont have to be there till 7pm. but to beat the long weekend traffic over the hat i though i might leave around lunch and throw the boat in the truck and find some where between the hat and naniamo to fish. what lakes are doing well right now for bass? Quennell? Long lake? spectacle? divers? westwood?
any insight would be great.

I have heard divers lake is good, quennell lake is always good, I recommend against westwood I have never had much success there
