Baja-off the Beaten Track

Any recommendations for a quick fish charter out of Cabo? 4 hrs max. Fishing any good this time of year? Never had much luck in the south in January. We are 4 guys with a few hours away from the families...Jan 18-24. Thanks!

You most likely won’t get into your yft on a 4 hour unless you are lucky, usually they stick close to los Cabos , this time of year there are striper close to home, and it has been a banner dorado year where you don’t have to go to far, early morning wahoo bite this time of year can be productive closer to shore aswell

You're only going to get a panga that fishes right in froont of the harbour for a 4 hr trip. The best fishing will be farther offshore which is a longer run

we have done great on marlin within 2-3 miles, dorado in the bay.. YFT can be reached on the panga if travelling weather permits, 7-9 miles out.
hire filipe from TAG, great captain and loves to catch!! count on 400 u.s. per day,, includes live bait, ice, and the 13$ per day liscence. plus TIP!!
this is in CABO SAN LUCAS....

yes, Filipe was who we fished with and he is a great captain. we booked two full days of fishing which were supposed to be 8 hour charters but I think both days we fished 10-12 hours. If you look on their FB page you can see he caught a 170lb YFT out of his panga so I don't think they were too far out. He told us that during certain times they catch tuna, dorado and marlin close to shore.
