Anyone ever build a pot puller using a wheelchair motor?

Seems like these are beefy motors that would have more than enough torque.

Most are 24v it seems. Dumb question, would running a 24v motor off a 12v supply simply result in 1/2 the rpm?

Anyway, thought I would see if its been tried

why bother going with something
when there is lots out there to choose from
have an Ace Brutus and had no issues with it
plumb in a hydraulic puller to run off your main motor now where getting somewhere with guts
thought about going hydraulic even for the scotties and bigger balls now there's a thought for those wanting 18-20lb balls

what about a cheap atv 12v winch and change the gearing

I use the cheap atv winches. 3000 lbs of pulling power lol. They are slower than an ace but they work. I am playing around with bigger wheels now to see if we can speed it up a bit. I haven't looked into the gears. We have built 3 of them now with each design getting a little bit better.
