Anybody have any good chum fishing tips?

dead slow...purple/silver flasher, and any pink/purple/blue hootchy combos (I was using commercial hootchies - think they were J300 and MB100 or something along those lines. Many put a spin and glo infront as well. I typically caught them 50-80' and well, just look for the boats - usually either Separation or Plumper depending on tide (can't remember which thou, been a while).

---- 3 oz. banana sinker
------plug-cut herring
----- approx. 20 M line off the stern of your boat
------medium speed
------Fasten Seat Belt

First I'd check the weather, then I'd actually get out of the arm chair and go give it a try.

I fish almost the same as I normally do but with black, blue and pink gear. I run fairly normal length leaders unlike some the use short ones. I use regular hootchies, squirts and spoons. I like tandom hooks while many use singles, but I have seen some people use small trebles.

So really it's just salmon fishing. What is there to know. Get out there, get the lines wet and catch fish.

Good Luck,
