Alberni to Barkley weather

Hi all,

Is looking at west coast weather forecasts going to give me an indication of what it will be like heading out the Alberni canal to the Broken Group? Thanks.

You are going to hit different winds in different areas. It may be better to see what Port Alberni weather is more so than the West Coast weather. If you have a smaller boat avoid going out the channel between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm as it usually gets pretty bumpy around Nahmint.

Best to leave Alberni in the morning (earlier the better) the wind starts to pick up later in the day. It is a beautiful trip.
