Alberni This Weekend

Still dead in the upper inlet and now burnt out down below from my latest fisher reports !!! Macktush has no HO,S jumpin just a pod of sea lions chowin down in the narrows ~~~Should be unreal when the next wave of HO,s and Smilies arrive in the upper as there is 100,000 to come .~~~~As normal in the river confluence area is stacked with Chromers ,access being your only barrier ,just bring lots of roe flavoured floss and clean a few teeth ~~~~!!!!

Hi Guys,
Just wondering with all of the rain recently what the flow is like in the Stamp? Any fish there yet? I so need to get a boat.
Cheers,
Rodman

River update .~~~River in great shape for a drift about "med low"~~~ its slab city with mainly chrome spring bullets biting 20 - 12lbs ,I have been mainly spoon feeding them with a few hoes mixed in .The hoes are lower in #'s this year but the slabs are makin up for it The main run of springs is "all" in the river now top to bottom
PS : But don't tell anyone .

There is still some down there but you must hunt them down .
The few hatchery hoes are thining out with the wild,s just startin to show ,but their #'s are unknown .~~~It is a "Hit and miss" game at this time of the year .~~~But most reports are bleak with the hoes swimming right through to the river just like the springs did earlier and not holding ~~~

Herd that more than a few springs are being caught outfront Bamfield harbour righ now. Tons of COHO are on the way to the STAMP and think in Bamfield right now. It's ON!!!

Pass the Pack

anyone know if the springs are still in the inlet, or what about coho, wouldnt mind doing some of that fishin. I mean those slabs from bamfield have to be somewhere(hopefully not in the river).

Latest inlet report 40 rods today fished top = (Harbour) to (Bamfield wall & Pill) bottom in a small derby with Guys from Work = total fish caught = "ONE" 18lb spring , first thing @ Pill .~~~~No other fish seen caught even by any of the 20 other boat down there ~~~Good news = Tons of fed around but no feeders!!!~~~ .I wish I had more Good news but I think it is "OVER" and out for this years spawners !!~~~We even tried @ Macktush for coho and chums but shot blanks there also .~~~Mean while the herds of sealoins eat a few more hundred old sockeye still holding in the inlet !!!!
