News Flash !!!DERBY leader 45 lb Chromer in the lead now~~~ my buddy has 3rd place of the day with a 34 lb from down below ~~ Tried the night bite only saw 3 lost by lone tree to boy scout @ 6:30 - 7:00PM Me = ZIPPPO

steely are you sure about those #'s because last yime you said the opening was 16,000 it was actually 5-6000 springs. just curious.

Eagle I some never got there quota~~~ while others got more added on just the way it is !! Its all on the DFO web sites.Update today leader 35 lb
We landed 3 today lost 1 more~~~ goin back out right NOW ~~~~way more fish caught todaY <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

I just found out that the derby winner was a 46 that was caught at whittelstone WHILE I WAS FISHING THERE!!I'm choked<img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

Ya the derby is over for another year .I saw Myescape and Blueocra out fishin in my backyard welcome and come on back any time just email for the latest .

.Seems the fish went in to Lockjaw mode after the upper peeked on wedesnday ~~~ That was my best day ever trolling with an 18 fish day in the "upper" it was more like Sockeye fishin action in july but with 15 - 25 lbers ~~~~<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>

In the derby over 2700 rods fished 3 days @ 6 hours each and weighed in 2800 fish @ 14 lb average ~~~ Not quite as red hot as we like but more to come they say .<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>~~~~
We sporties are such a threat to the resource I see why we must be so controlled or all the fish would be gone !!!!!~~<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

Some weirdo with just a few anchovies short of a flat lookin to get my Hali harpoon...
Pulled in two 18's at 6:00 A.M. and that was it for the day...
Will be back sometime this week I suspect (after the major part of the rain has happened) or the weekend.
And yes, I do like your backyard! Way more fish than mine this year.

Thanks STEELY for all the advice and kinda a fluke to have you come up close in your boat just after I netted my first on thurs nite considering never saw you or your boat before in my life and yes although it was a little disapointing to spend so much time on the water with limited results it still beats the best day at work LOL LOL

juat talked to my dad, hes in bamfield right now since yesterday. They fished whittlestone today and landed 8 springs and lost about the same amount. They also got 3 coho for the day so things are lookin good for the weekend.
