Thanks, it makes a difference when you see DFO's options.Look at the A, B, C, D,-- those are the options.. Sorry, I dont know how to get the table with this info to post in a more readable form.
******** SG.I'd go out on a limb (and even say its not that much of a limb) and say I'd guarantee a majority of fishermen do not agree with this and rather of had a 1/1
Thanks for you comments but according to my records 28 including 3 from DFO. 2 commercial fishermen that were questioned as to why they were there and told us that the rec fishers also. As for you comment that Ian being shut up is BS as I made sure that everyone had a chance to speak and not be interrupted. Everyone that held up their hand was given a chance to speak their mind. The document was posted on the net before the meeting. LP went to all the marines and tackle stores and posted flyers. We had lot's of ground to cover and I tried to get through it as fast as I could. You are forgetting we have another issue here. Closing the DFO office and moving our fish cop down island. Rockfish TAC numbers falling and how that would effect salmon (like close Kitty Hump) I was prepared for the meeting.... If you recall my advice was 1/2 shoulder 1/1 July and Aug. Looking kinda good now doesn't it... If you think I'm A OK with what we got you are sadly mistaken..... But I for, like all that showed up, gave it our best shot with what information we had. I have no problem with guy's speakin their minds on this website as long as they showed up at their SFAC and gave input. My beef is with the guy's that sit back and let us do all the work and then spout off on here that the work we did was crap.Come on GLG not to upset you as I know you go a interest here or anyone else from the area 14 board but the open meeting was a waste of all of our time. We (be the board, about 4 rec. fisherman that are friends with most on the board, 2 guides (Ian Barker and Cliff) and 2 commercial fisherman) were bored to death for hours listening to things the other 8 of us didn't even care to hear about at that time. You and the rest of the board knew that, and I am sure has heard from the rest of us that we have no interest in sitting thru that to get to the topics that we are there for. Once finally getting to the topics of interest it was mentioned that it was late. There was a bunch of stuff tossed out quickly from some person notes with some sort of an agenda. There was a quick vote on I believe one of them topics and the meeting was over. Ian was shut up over and over again and to me it seemed he was the only guy with fight over this matter. In my opinion the rest was left to our board who again got us know where. Quote... Again it's being pushed down our throats. Let me guess its just experimental and it will only be this year.... Heard that before. To me we need more fight and if the fight is not being heard. Go Fishing...

Canadian TAC goes down we get more rules to slow us down
Canadian TAC goes up we get new rules to harvest more.
Next year we will go down this road again and maybe the lessons learned from this year we will have a different outcome. I know last year we all thought the world was going to end when we got the 1/2 slot. Well it didn't did it. Who knows what will happen this year. All I know is decisions are made by those that show up. In the mean time will continue to fight for more TAC and other issues here in area 14.

Cause you are on that board... Sorry RayGLG just described the same meeting I was at. I would say every effort was made to allow local area14 anglers to voice their opinion.
