Took the dog out this morning, dropped the lines 10am at T10, did a pass, one hit didn’t stick, white hoochie. Turned around, couple minutes later, the herring rod goes off infront of the can, took a while but managed to net a 28lbs female pig solo. Bled the fish and the hoochie rod goes off before the second herring even had a chance to go down. 2 for 2 with the net with a nice teenager. Not as many boats out today but a few nets out for sure, bite was ON

Nice size fish. How deep?
P.S - I’m covering for a member this weekend.

Started at Point Atkinson this morning. Worked the point and made our way to freights. Hit a coho and released boatside. Worked the freighters with only a few other boats in the area until 9 and pulled up and headed to cap mouth and joined the merry go round. Saw some nets out chasing and losing thrashing fish boatside. One big grab for us that didn’t stick on a 8-9 inch herring in a glow head. Had enough laps and headed out past the yellow can and pink apartments and finished up at Point Atkinson before heading in. Very uneventful day fishing wise but the weather was warm and nice to catch up with fishing buddies. Might take a break until things heat Up at the cap or winter chinooks in October.

We had the full arsenal out today as well. Glad to hear others getting them as it might bait me to give it another crack next week in the salt before chasing them in the river.
Thinking of chucking some metal at them in the canal off the boat in the coming weeks, anyone know if the Barrowtown launch is still open?

I think it's just back to normal fishing. Have to work for them and hit the short bite windows. It's not over yet.
It certainly is not! Yesterday’s rain has sent a lot of fish running. This week’s rain will clean things up and then we’ll get the main push of coho and late springs in early October. That’s when you can easily run a couple trays of anchovies on coho bites if we get a decent tide and wind combo. 🤞🤞 (Sry- no Emojis for crossed toes!)
