Just got back from 3 days in Toba. 17 boats in our group and we worked the inlet over very few fish. Lots of guys skunked. Biggest fish was 21 which is nice but we put in 3 hard days and lots of boats all over the favorite spots but not much maybe 10 springs taken in total which is very poor. It should be heating up any day. Prawning was the only thing that saved the day, but it was good times with good friends.
Was up yesterday fished 4 hours dean point down into waddington and the beach on the way to brem. Notta sniff. Beauty up there - was a up cruising and fished a bit. Very little on the sounder.
Spent all day up in Toba on Tuesday, not a salmon to be found, the ling made up for it though. I did manage one legal 65cm clipped Chinook on the north side of West Redonda on the way home.
