2013 Summer Port Renfrew & Swiftsure Reports

Thinking about going out to swiftsure bank for the first time on Friday or Saturday if the beach area is still slow if any body has any tips for tackle for salmon it would be much appreciated so far I've heard cuddle fish hoochies work well, should I bring larger than normal spoons out there too?also what depths for salmon?tnx in advance

Fishtank we were fishing 140 to 180 in 200 feet of water,
we had a brown turd on one side and a 4"green and white spoon on the other I don't think they are real picky out there.Even the hatch coho were 180

No fog yesterday. started at the 170 and ended up an hour past hole in the wall. Was a rough day. lol 5 springs to 20lbs. Day before was easy limits

Trolled too close to some jiggers and came up with this rig. Funny no one asked for it back, weird rig.

Some chickens for us and one small spring. Beauty day.

If you were fishing Swiftsure in 200 feet of water you better recheck your boundary line. There is no area outside the boundary with 200'.

On the west side, out side the closure, near the J-buoy is almost all over 200' or around 200'. You'll see many, many boats out of Renfrew fishing there.
