green party ,, your thoughts

Ha ha! I don't think he would share anything with me. I am nothing but a "green/pinko/leftist radical" who is worthy only of the firing squad! (I wonder what colour a "green/pinko" is? LOL
I think that colour would be "grinko".

Pretty sure Pip would have no problem sharing his soap. Just don't let him drop it in front of you.

Watched a few interviews with the green party leader and shockingly I don't mind her one bit (which is surprising due to my ABSOLUTE DETEST of Elizabeth May and her hypocrisy). Better than Ms Clark for sure. She seems more centered than the impression you get from reading the party website on their policies. Now which would come true if they ever had any real power...who knows as won't ever happen, but hope they get a seat or two this election.

I dont think a pro unionized labour party is healthy for the province and don't want to see the province fall asleep for 4 years....So I'm not a fan of the NDP. The Greens have good intentions but in a 2 horse race I don't think I'll be throwing a vote their way. I'm young and want to have a job locally where I grew up. Jobs aren't easy to come by for the younger generation regardless of ones level of education. Not going to northern BC or Alberta doesn't mean you're lazy. Just my 2 cents. :)

I've been trying to educate myself on the election. Pretty horrendous campaigning and coverage so far lol.

You don't have to live there, you just need to get to an airport every couple of weeks. Work 5 months of the year, well into the six figures............

Thats the problem, there is no good choice.
As stated before, we as voter's are left choosing the best of the worst.
I'm betting on a majority NDP govt in this election.
More than anything, a simple reaction to the inadequacy of the current government.
Business will suffer, social programs will prevail.

AND we'll have floods, famine, hail, brimfire, locusts and the four horsemen of the apocalypse shall reign supreme. OK so maybe it won't be THAT bad, but close ;-) heeheehee

You're probably right. In 4 years time I'd be willing to bet we will be voting back in the current gov't and shaking our heads at what the NDP has done.

what was the term used for making the same mistake over and over again?

was it insanity?

There are 2 other parties, well 3 if you count the sensible one. You don't have to repeat the same mistakes over and over again!!

People will....They will vote the NDP just because. Adrian Dix is a very weak leader.
And if the NDP wins, his weakness will be extorted by all the unions and groups who have helped put him in office and they will all show up with open palms and expect more.

Frankly, I have problems with the leadership of both of the major parties as well as the Conservatives. None of them present a particularly inspiring view, to me, at least.
So, I'm going to do again what I have always done: to vote for the candidate in my riding who best represents my political philosophy and who I believe will best represent the interests of my riding in the Legislature. I live in the Comox Valley and am voting for Don McRae who has worked very hard for the people of this riding and has represented us well.

He isn't even the leader yet and he is already promising hundreds of millions in new spending. Most companies are curbing or reducing costs as they wait for profits to return in this extended downturn in the economy. There is no sign yet of any significant improvement on the horizon so spending more money with debt attached is foolish. Only spend for what is absolutely necessary.

Amen to that. People jumped on board with Scammer and the NDP to oppose the HST (which benefitted the province), but now just a mere 18 months later people are all for what is inevitably going to be tax increases. It's kind of a flip flop like Dix is doing on the Carbon Tax and Kinder Morgan.........and I love how Dix says the NDP :"if elected will unlikely support the Kinder Morgan project".

If they are elected.......just wait for the "upon further review................".

Im sure more people will not vote ndp because they are ndp then for.

Just wondering why you think he would be a weak leader? Im shocked at conversations I over hear and at how many people seem to judge people on appearance. He is a goofy looking guy so he is weak..

Hes not my first choice but he sure beats Christy Clark and no way would I ever vote conservative. I like Maureen Karagains so it makes it easy. I think there is so many rich/conservative people in the province people who are still holding a grudge about what ndp did a decade ago. I dont think ndp is going to get nearly as many votes as people think. Going to be tight in greater vic but def green or ndp.

oh for sure never belive anything said on a campaign almost not even worth watching as its a pack of lies.

Why do you say "he sure beats Christy Clark"? Let me preface I am not a huge fan of Christy's myself.

SVIAC will be sending the results of a candidates survey about fisheries matters to its members soon. That will give you a picture how south VI candidates react to fisheries issues and what they are prepared to do if any. Just in case you haven't probed your area candidates yet yourself, which you should of course always do. Let's hope that people will vote for anyone who is prepared to better our province including our unique environment and not only promises short-term and unsustainable twists to our busy little lifes.

Other then the fact she is the cheesyiest fake butt speaker I have ever heard. That she didnt want to come and sit at the leg when it was in session in Victoria because they are 'sick sick people' even tho that is her job. That liberals have almost doubled bc's deficit. She flipflops on issues. She was put in place by Gordon Campell who im not a fan. I have to say the one thing the free parking in parks was awesome and never should have been put in place. Still not enough to get me to vote liberal. Luckily it works for me that I like my local mla candidate.
