Woah Giant mussels!!

My friend send me this photo that she found on Vancouver island, she wasn't sure these are edible, so I was wondering if anyone tried eating this...are they any good?

They are edible depending on where you harvest from. However, i can tell you from experience, the smaller mussels are much better.
