Wiper motor and blade

My wiper motor died today. It looks like it’s the original (boat manufactured in 1989). Any recommendations on replacement, or at
least what to avoid? Some of the motors are really expenaive ($200 to $500), but others are a lot less.

It’s a Hourston 18 hardtop, so I need my wiper.

Thanks in advance.

I recommend one that is a parallel arm wiper (i.e. pantograph) as they clear a lot bigger area than the simple sweep.

I replaced both wiper motors and associated hardware a few years back. Trotac carries marine grade wiper motors and associated parts. As I recall, they are rather pricey.
