what kind of bird

spotted a bunch of white birds squatting on the fields at the ducks unlimited farm didn't get a good look as i was in traffic wondering if any else saw them and could identify them

I think they were snow geese.

I've heard several flocks of Sandhill Cranes travelling past over the last few nights, not frequent dropins here but they have been known to stop by. The sound of them trumpeting WAY up in the clear night skies is unforgettable.

Have many folks here heard them?
