What ate the bait out of this dogfish's throay

I was dragging salmon bellies for Hali in 250' feet of water and was catching lots of dogs. This one was left on the line for 10 min while I dealt with the other line. Any guesses what nailed it?

Another dogfish. Guaranteed. Seen this many a time attempting to spreader bar fish at the CR Hump. They turn into cannibals the second they see another doggy with meat in its mouth.

The dogfish started pissing me off earlier this summer, stealing my herring when fishing salmon. I finally took revenge and put one of them in a crab pot and dropped it in 20 meters of water

Came back a few hours later: no crab, but wow, a one meter long dogfish curled up in the crab pot.

My bait was gone

I've chopped them up for crab and VaVoom ..... Crab pot loaded with Crab ....... At least stab it a few times haha
