Volunteer?

I had a friend who had a little situation. Long story short, he needs to do 20 hrs of volunteer work. He would like to put his efforts to helping out a local society doing stream or river work, maybe even hatery work? Can anybody give any suggestions?

Tell him to contact the Pacific Salmon Foundation and volunteer to help organize one of the fund raising dinners. There are plenty of community based local Dinner Organization groups that need help.
