Well....delayed report, but better late than never.
I went out to Constance with a buddy monday morning and fished from 8:30-11. We kept a nice 8-9lb spring, lost another and released about 6 or 7 small ling cod. It is great to see the abundance of these little guys, but hard to keep your gear clean...especially if you can't tell if they are hanging on. The winning lure for us again was the white glow hootchie pulled over a green and black buck tail(posted pic of it last week).
Profisher - that sounds like an epic day out there! Question: I tend to stay away from anchovies out there because of all of the currents out there and use coho killers, spoons, hootchies(and bucktail combos). I can imagine the chovies are doing some crazy stuff down there with the extra current, but maybe the winter springs like it that way(and obviously they do with your results!) way as they seem to like the action of the spoons. So, my question, would you take a different approach if running chovies vs spoons out there? Only run with current? Slower? etc. Thanks!
