UV Flashers?

There has been some past discussion on UV products. On flashers,
what brand and colours work the best? Are there just plain blank UV flashers available so I can dress up my own? If so, where would I find them? What about UV paints or coatings?

well purple haze is pretty popular and I've also seen a spray called Fool-A-Fish: http://www.foolafish.com/ that is supposed to be a UV coating, but I've never heard of anyone using it.

UV is the same thing as Purple haze or Clear plaid. you can never go wrong throwing one down.

Fishing with a friend in Alberni this year...he nailed 2 20+ in 10mins early with a 5" cop car and green/glow flasher (traditional green hotspot one side, UV the other). I didn't have one, but tried every flasher in my box with a 5" cop car without a bite. We landed 4 with the one rod in 2 hours, not a bite on the other 2. Went out and bought one that night and caught 2 the next day.
I'm now a believer in color and UV.
An old timer I golfed with once who fished Renfrew for years told me he's got a 5 gallon pail of flashers, and will change the flasher before the lure.
