We have used these for the last 6 years...
If you have ever wished you had another rod holder or another cup holder or another can holder or another bottle holder on your boat (and ca’mon who hasn’t wished for most of these?) then check these out...
The reel seat sits in the slot in the front of the holder and your beer sits beside it.
I’m not selling them but I just bought 2 more cause the ones we had got broken after 6 years and brittle from the sun...
(I got a couple of them from the boat show and thought they were great about 6/7 years ago. I think from Harbour Chandler.
You just need some vertical railing on your boat to clamp them to. We also put a zap strap around the clamp for added security as you don’t want to lose a rod/reel over the side. (Or a beer for that matter!) But the clamp is plenty strong.
Just ordered them from therobocup.com this time with free shipping and I entered ROBONXT to get a 20% discount so two sets for $48 canadian total delivered.
maybe HC still sells them also but I’m not sure...
