Sturgeon trip

Went great!

We landed about twenty of them. Lost a couple and missed about twice as many. Just a great time.

Four of us on the boat and everyone managed one about 100lbs or more. What a different fishery compared to what we do, but wow do those bastards ever pull.

My big one was about 130-140.

We fished with Jerry from STS and couldn't have been happier with our guide. Highly recommended if you ever want to try chasing dinosours.

Wow I never knew that the sturgeon fishing was so good 'later' in the salmon season. I assumed that the sturgeon would be full by now.
Congrats on your success.
Have you fished other times of the year? Would you say Nov is the best time or just good?

First time I've ever fished them. My understanding is that traditionally around Halloween is the peak of the season, I think that was a pretty good day for a couple of weeks later.

They can be caught all year, just not the concentrations like during the salmon spawn...
