sport fishing boat quality

You don't want my advice because I'll tell you straight up...Grady White,Pursuit,Proline, robalo, etc....I just think that you mostly get what you pay for and the re-sale value on these hulls is always very good.
I would look hard at even an older model that has been repowered...probably the way to go especially if your looking south...
Start with a budget and go from there...
just my two cents...
oh ya...PARKER another great hull...here a great boat at a decent price...just goes to show you that boat's aren't moving down south...

That Parker looks nice. Divide price by 4 and I'm in!
;)

Starting with budget is right, because you can't get blood from a stone. I'm looking for the first step out of the "welfare boat" world, to something more solid, dependable, and safe.

I'm looking around $12k, but could stretch to $15k. Beyond that, and I think we will have "issues" in the home. This crazy habit is tolerated, but only to a point!

My goal is the newest power I can afford, with the best hull I can get to go with it. From what I've seen, those budget dollars stretch about 30-40% farther down south right now. A $20k boat here might be $15-16k in Seattle. Even bigger gap on the East Coast, where boats are shockingly cheap...

Hi RS

I saw that one too, and agree, an ok deal but could get it 40% cheaper in USA. The Port Orchard one from Red Monster shows that...about the same price, but 6 years newer at 2001 vs 1995.

Some tasty looking boats from Red Monster. Out of my price range, but my will...power....is....slipping...

This forum is a dangerous breeding ground for 2-foot-itis. ;)

Check out comparable listings and comparable power and options and I think the price is not too bad. Someone could get this boat for around $34,000 Canadian. I am not related to the seller, just think that a new used Double Eagle 206ex loaded for 1/2 the price of a new one would be a good deal.

A 2005 boat in Richmond for $69,500 same exact same power, although very low hours, as the Bellingham boat: http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1775716/0

SG Power, new for $51,999 + taxes with 150 honda and trailer, no kicker, no trim tabs or electronics: http://www.sgpower.com/marine/details.php?Item=12

I looked very hard last year trying to find a 206 Double Eagle in good condition, hard to find. For a nice Double Eagle with all the extras, around 35 canadian is good.Best quote new, last year with a 200 yamaha was 58 no extras. The wife saw the quote and it was a no go.I sure would like to try a 206 out though. It seems that this year there are a lot of good deals out there, who knows with the uncertantity down south where the prices are going to go.DAN
