spoon size clarification

Lots of unclear posts about spoon size lately. Inches and size numbers are not intuitive as they are for plugs.
For example:
Coyote spoons size 3.5 is 3", 4.0 is 3.5", 5.0 is 3.75", 6.0 is 4.5"
Wonder spoon #8 is 6"
LG Johnson is #5 is 3"
Tom Mack #4.5 is 2.5", #5 is 3"
Silver Horde #6.5 is 5.5"
Superior #5 is 3.75", #6 is 4.5"
Biggest Tomic #6? is 5.5"

Yes, I'm bored and counting the hours to the first of my 5 trips to Ukee/Tofino in July and August.

Thanks for that Tubber.......good info for those that don't know.......

No wonder i am getting so many dinkers on my 3.5 coyote spoons.. always had best luck on the 5.0 ..Now i feel my box is full of inadequate length spoons thanks alot..lol

Thanks! Very interesting. Now I have to figure out when people say '4' if its the 5.0 @ 3.75 or 4 @ 3.5. ... lol The 5.0 look so much bigger then the 4.0..I will just try them all till I start catching fish :)

Jeffy:- I'm not at all convinced that bigger spoons catch bigger fish off ECVI.

All the fish of note that I have caught in the last two years have been on smaller spoons.

The monster my wife hooked into while we were out Sunday took this:-
I know it's a jig...but check the size:-
