Soquel Bank Info

Anyone out there had any experience fishing off/on Soquel Bank (about 6 miles off Pachena Point)?

Got some halis in Soquel in the month of May-June in past years, and have seen a few others being caught around the same time of the year. Never had any luck in July-August on that spot. There are slopes on both sides (the west being the rockiest) and some trenches. You may want to carry a few extra jigs, as the bottom is not very forgiving.

Personally, I think your best bet is the 5 & 7 mile banks if there is feed around. It is roughly the same distance from Cape Beale to either Soquel or the banks anyway, and there are many more spots to try in the banks' area (just look at a chart to see what I mean).

There are plenty of good spots there, it is more of a pick spot and there are big halli there,we somtimes run up from reny.
